IMPACT DETACHER

Diagram-stabilising, high-efficiency sieving enabler

A high-efficiency diagram-stabilisation unit for mechanically breaking up the flakes and plates (flakes) into which the grain mass is pressed between the high-pressure smooth (reduction) rolls during semolina and flour production. Preventing the sieve cloths from clogging, the machine separates the agglomerated product without damaging the particle structure and maximises flour quality, passage balance and sieving efficiency.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Intake of plate-form semolina — passage product inlet: the semolina mass, turned into small plates and agglomerates under the intense roll pressure, is delivered to the detacher’s intake hopper by gravity or a pneumatic line. Rotor impact-and-throw technology — dynamic impact break-up: the incoming product is subjected to the mechanical action of high-speed rotor paddles; as the rotor rapidly strikes and flings the product against the body wall, the stuck-together plates are fully broken up without damaging the inner endosperm structure and starch. Granulometric flow and discharge — preparation for optimal sieving: the perfectly broken-up semolina, restored to its original particle size, is sent after the outlet to the next sieve passage, letting the product descend freely through the sieve cloths and preventing unnecessary product carry-over to the rear passages.

KEY ADVANTAGES

• Passage balance and sieve efficiency: Unbroken plates remain on the screens, loading the rear passages unnecessarily and upsetting the diagram balance; the detacher breaks them up, securing 100% yield from the sieve surface area.

• Precise separation without starch damage: Specially calculated rotor speed and paddle geometry easily separate the stuck-together semolina flakes without over-grinding the kernels or damaging the starch and lowering flour quality.

• Maximum throughput and production yield: By preventing semolina from escaping unsieved to the bran line or bypass routes, it directly raises the final flour and semolina yield and cuts production losses to zero.

• Modular model and motor options: Different motor powers and rigid body designs are available to suit the hourly diagram density and the pipeline design (gravity flow or pneumatic line).

ENGINEERING NOTE

In modern flour and semolina mills the detacher is not merely an “auxiliary machine” but the hidden efficiency key of the roll-sieve combination. Especially on lines processing high-moisture conditioned wheat and on reduction passages, it breaks up the micro-plates that form within seconds and reliably prevents the sieve cloths from clogging.
