Multi-point line-collection and inverter-controlled feeding station for critical process machines
A high-precision volumetric-feeding and storage unit for collecting at a single centre and returning to the system the filter dust, by-products or dust/granular-form chemical materials arriving from different points in flour, semolina, feed and chemical plants. By managing the precise feeding of critical machines such as the entoleter and waste crusher in particular — where feeding stability directly affects operational efficiency — it eliminates in-line stoppages and mechanical-jamming risks.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Collector-bin design and material flow — multi-line central reception: the pipes arriving from the plant’s different passages and vertical lines are merged at a single centre in the screw bin’s upper collection hopper; the dust and granular raw materials are shed by gravity into the sealed bin body, forming a stable material bed.
Reducer-driven helical-screw kinematics — volumetric stable conveying: the integrated screw-feeder mechanism positioned at the body’s lower base, taking power from a directly connected high-torque geared motor, begins to rotate; the helical flights drag the raw material collected in the bin linearly in controlled mass volumes.
Speed-control regulation and line-end transfer — precise injection and discharge: the screw feeder transfers the material to the next process (entoleter or waste crusher) with high precision; thanks to the integrated speed-control device (inverter), the discharge flow is set instantly and a flawless product curtain is delivered to the target machine.
KEY ADVANTAGES
- Linear-flow assurance for critical process machines: It reliably prevents high-speed centrifugal machines — the entoleter and waste crusher — from blocking due to sudden bulk loads; by feeding them product at set stable proportions in a continuous flow, it maximises line safety.
- Collector bin offering multi-point integration: The machine’s upper-hopper design allows numerous pipelines from the plant’s different floors or passages to meet at a single collection point; it simplifies the in-plant piping diagram and offers area efficiency.
- Micronised flow setting via the speed-control device (inverter): The frequency converter integrated into the drive gives the flexibility to set the screw shaft’s speed at the micro level; it helps to precisely meter the amount of filter dust or raw material to be added to the recipe according to the plant’s instantaneous capacity regime.
- Rigid design for dust-form chemicals and food granules: Besides flour- and semolina-filter dust, it guarantees the stable conveying — without bridging, jamming or sticking — of the low-flowability dust chemicals and granular materials hard to dose in industrial processes.
ENGINEERING NOTE
The screw bin is the mechanical-stability centre of the recovery lines and end-process feeds in milling automation (PLC/SCADA). The dust-tight monoblock body eliminates the escape of fine filter dust into the plant environment, preserving sanitation. The torque continuity provided by the speedcontrol supported reducer mechanism ensures equal product volume (m³/h) is discharged at every flight revolution even when the material level in the bin (static load pressure) changes, and extends the operational life of the sequentially working entoleters and crushers.
