High-Intensity Friction & Scouring Station
A high-performance solution for removing the grain’s outer coat (pericarp) by mechanical friction and surface scouring, which directly affects flour quality. Radically lowering the microbiological load, it flawlessly clears dust, sand, husk residues, larvae and bacteria from the grain surface within seconds.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Coarse cleaning and ear-opening (first cleaning stage): operating in the dry-cleaning diagram (first cleaning), the machine removes hard foreign matter and mechanically breaks open unthreshed ears. Fine peeling of conditioned grain (second stage): when used after conditioning (second cleaning), the moisture-softened outer coat is removed to the maximum extent without damaging the endosperm. Wear-proof beaters and EU liner (intense friction and filtration): wear-resistant cast beaters on a dynamically balanced rotor hurl the grain against the fixed liner; the coats released by grain-on-grain and grain-on-surface friction pass out through the liner perforations.
KEY ADVANTAGES
• Maximum hygiene and low ash content: Directly supports lowering the ash content — a critical flour-quality parameter — and mechanically scrapes bacteria and micro-organisms off the grain coat, extending flour shelf life.
• Maximum scouring precision (original EU liner): The original EU-made liners guarantee the highest peeling index without cracking or bruising the grain.
• Heavy-duty internal components: The fixed beaters on the rotor’s outer line are made of special wear-resistant alloy castings, offering long component life even under hard, intensive duty.
• Flexible capacity and power options: Different bodies and motor powers are available to suit hourly capacity and diagram position (dry or conditioned line).
ENGINEERING NOTE
The Scourer is one of the most strategic machines in flour milling for stabilising grist quality. Its advanced rotor-beater geometry keeps grain breakage (loss) near zero while removing the cellulosic coat structure and all factors that darken flour.
