Hydrodynamic stone separation combined with centrifugal drying
A high-performance combined system for perfectly cleaning wheat with water — removing stones, soil, dust, chemical-treatment residues and microbiological load (bacteria). By means of its advanced hydrodynamic structure and vertical centrifugal drying unit, it both clears the kernel of all surface contamination and prepares the ideal physical condition for the subsequent dehulling and milling stages.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Controlled water bath — hydrodynamic washing and time setting: wheat entering the wash trough is washed by the buoyancy of the water; by moving the adjustable inlet flap forward or back, the wheat’s residence time in the water (penetration time) is set precisely to the grain type. Counter-flow twin-screw system — density-based stone discharge: kernels lighter than water stay suspended and flow along, while high-density stones, sand and soil quickly settle to the bottom; special stone-discharge screws working in reverse at the bottom convey this waste to a stone-collection pan and automatically discharge it outside with pressurised water. High-speed rotor and louvre sheet — centrifugal drying and skin cracking: the clean wheat leaving the washing section passes to the vertical drying section; a high-speed dynamic rotor flings the wheat against special louvre sheets — shedding its surface water by centrifugal force, the wheat strikes the louvres repeatedly so its outer skin (pericarp) cracks, easing subsequent dehulling.
KEY ADVANTAGES
• Premium flour whiteness and maximum hygiene: The dissolving power of water fully removes micro-dust, chemical-treatment residues and bacteria from the wheat surface; thanks to this deep cleaning, the final flour reaches a striking whiteness and minimum ash value.
• Ideal conditioning and easy dehulling: The outer skin, micro-cracked by impacts on the louvres during drying, is peeled far more easily and without losses in the later stages, without damaging the wheat’s inner endosperm.
• Minimum water consumption (eco-system): With its innovative hydrodynamic internal design, water consumption is held to just one quarter — depending on the grain’s contamination percentage — offering an eco-friendly, economical operating cost.
ENGINEERING NOTE
The washing-and-drying machine is the plant’s rescue, especially on highly contaminated or soil-laden grists where dry-cleaning methods fall short. Its hydrodynamic stone-separation logic reduces even precise stone escapes to zero, permanently extending the rolls’ service life.
