Three-Rotor Intensive Dampening Station
A high-performance conditioning (tempering) system specially designed to bring grain to its targeted high moisture levels in the shortest time before milling. Usually positioned in the dry-cleaning lines of flour and semolina mills, the intensive dampener uses an aggressive mechanical whipping technology to radically shorten tempering time and guarantee the ideal moisture balance that directly raises flour yield.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Smart sensor and solenoid valve management — filtration and flow sensing: water entering the system first passes through a dedicated filter and is cleared of lime and particles; a precise flow sensor on the line, on detecting wheat entry, commands the solenoid valve and admits water at a pre-set flow rate. Zero-error instant cut-off — automatic flow safety: if product flow stops or is interrupted, the sensor closes the solenoid valve within milliseconds and instantly cuts the water supply, fully preventing wheat sludging in the machine and system damage. Three-rotor aggressive whipping technology — intensive scrubbing and scoring: the precisely dampened wheat is fed into the three-rotor whipping unit at the machine’s heart; the high kinetic energy and intensive whipping of the triple-rotor combination dress the water over the entire kernel surface while micro-scoring the wheat’s bran (outer skin).
KEY ADVANTAGES
• Maximum conditioning precision: An refined flow sensor and a fast-opening/closing solenoid valve provide maximum moisture penetration into the kernel in minimum time.
• Three-rotor mechanical superiority: Unlike standard dampeners, this system with three separate rotor shafts scrubs the kernel far more aggressively: it both multiplies the water-absorption rate and eases the scoring of the outer skin, taking bran-peeling quality at the rolls to its peak.
• AISI 304 stainless-steel body: All internal components, paddles, rotors and the outer body — in the zone of intensive moisture circulation and constant mechanical friction — are made of high-grade AISI 304 stainless steel, offering 100% corrosion resistance and food safety.
• Flexible drive and motor options: Different motor-power and speed alternatives are available to suit your plant’s hourly capacity, diagram density and target moisture-increase percentages.
ENGINEERING NOTE
The intensive dampener is the plant’s most reliable workhorse, especially on hard-wheat grists requiring a high moisture increase and on multi-stage conditioning diagrams. Thanks to the homogeneous moisture distribution provided by the triple-rotor geometry, the wheat’s inner endosperm softens while the bran gains elasticity; this prevents bran contamination of the flour during milling and balances the ash content.
